Metal Embroidery
This is nuts, and I love it.
Some wonderfully talented and artistic (and possibly mad) Lithuanian woman drilled holes in various bits of "shabby chic" metals and embroidered into those bitty little holes. It's just gorgeous, too.

Can you imagine drilling thousands of tiny holes precisely symmetrically perfectly in a grid like that? She had some mad machining skillz!
